| Situated on a hill at the heart of Benalmadena, the three-star San Fermin hotel is a large and popular establishment. Its location makes it ideal for families (although perhaps not those with pushchairs or elderly members – the hill is quite steep!) who want an enjoyable and affordable holiday close to a large beach, numerous eateries and bars and plenty of fun-filled attractions. There are 316 rooms at the hotel offering clean and simple accommodation. The level of comfort is exceptional, with en suite facilities, air conditioning, satellite TV, safety deposit box and a balcony as standard. There are good views over the pool area and across the resort from rooms on the higher floors. The large lobby offers a relaxed environment, with easy access to the outdoor swimming pool. Around the pool there is plenty of sunbathing space and sun loungers available for hire at €2 per day, which deters towel-reservers who rarely actually use them. The lobby bar, serving snacks and refreshments, is open all day, and bathers are free to take their drinks out to the pool with them. The buffet restaurant offers a varied selection at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Children are particularly well-catered for throughout the hotel, from meal times right through to the children’s pool, extensive games room and full entertainment programme each evening. A short walk down the hill brings you to the sweeping beach, which is lined with English cafes, Irish pubs, Spanish bodegas and fine seafood restaurants. The award-winning Marina is a short walk to the centre and well worth a visit, as is the ’24-hour square’; which offers an array of late night bars and clubs. |
